DomEye is a free online web tool and Google Chrome extension that reveals other websites with the same email, IP address, Analytics, Adsense, Amazon, Clickbank, HiStats and more. Very useful to find out:
- if you have dodgy sites hosted in the same server as yours
- see what personal information is publicly available
- spying on your competition to see what they are up to
- discover new business ideas
- find out the email address of the webmaster of a website (very useful when dealing with Google Reconsideration Requests)
Unlike similar tools around the Internet, DomEye is completely free to use without limitations. DomEye also provides useful information such as Google Pagerank and Alexa Rank so it comes in handy for SEO purposes too.
DomEye came in very handy when I had to find out if there where any contact details for that domain owner which became really useful when removing bad links from a client’s website before sending a Google Reconsideration Request.
DomEye Chrome extension
With the Google Chrome extension you just need to click on the “eye” icon to get all the information straight away. You can download DomEye from the Google Chrome Store:
You can also use DomEye from any browser without the need to install the extension through the website.
Notes on how to interpret DomEye data
Two websites sharing the same IP address do not necessarily mean they are owned by the same person, they are probably hosted in a shared hosting server.
Sometimes the email addresses shown may be from the domain registrar and not the website owner, use your own judgement.
When sending a website request be patient, it can take up to 10 seconds for DomEye to process all the information and display your results.
