Sends a reminder in the same channel you create the reminder.

Examples

/remind me to get a coffee at 11am

/remind @charles about sales meeting at 11am

/remind #sales to call Mr. Handsome tomorrow

Who should be mentioned in the reminder, it can be yourself, a user or a channel

Setup

In your team page, go to Integrations → Incoming Webhook → Add Incoming Webhook and type in:

• Title: Mattermost Reminders
• Channel: any generic public channel (town-square, general, news…)

You will be provided with a URL like https://your-mattermost-server.com/hooks/jNgd68Hhskn2vhidbsi29Gd3Hs, save it for later.

Now go to Slash Commands → Add Slash Command and type in:

• Title: Mattermost Reminders
• Description: Remind someone about something at a specified time
• Command Trigger Word: remind
• Request URL: https://xaviesteve.com/pro/mattermost-reminders/
• Request Method: POST
• Response Username: Reminder
• Response Icon: https://xaviesteve.com/pro/mattermost-reminders/icon.png
• Autocomplete: Check it
• Autocomplete Hint: [who] [what] [when]
• Autocomplete Description: Remind someone about something at a specified time
