Web Developer – InsurTech

Basic Skills & Qualifications:• University degree with relevant work experience;• Effective written and oral communication in English and Spanish;• Proven working experience in web programming;• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 and JAVASCRIPT.• Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Ruby on Rails or Python.• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development.• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools.• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process.• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills.• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets.

Main duties of this position include:• Write programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphic packages to meet business requirements;• Test websites, identify and work to resolve any technical problems;• Keep up to date with advances in computer technology and the impact on the business environment.
