When was the last time you truly enjoyed booking your vacation online? Was it easy to choose a destination, compare all the flight prices and accommodations? Did you enjoy visiting dozens of websites, plowing through hundreds of choices, and constantly being confronted with messages like "Only 2 rooms left!"?

As a travel company, our priority is to make it easy and fun for our users to find, book, and have a great vacation. That's why we are looking for a UX/UI Designer with the knowledge and instinct on how to balance usability and aesthetics. We're hoping that might be you.

Who are you?You have experience in UX/UI design and translating user and business needs into design concepts, from wireframes to visual designs. You make sure that each screen with which a user interacts communicates a clear path to finding and booking their vacation. Besides designing for desktop screens, you master the design considerations of the major mobile operating systems (at least Android and iOS) and their interface patterns, external inputs, and guidelines. Flows, transitions and micro interactions are your thing. You are able to use your creativity to bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks. And of course you have a strong portfolio that demonstrates your UX/UI skills on different screen sizes.

Who are we?You will be part of a team with a big mission within the Sundio Group. Sundio Group is the company behind successful European travel brands such as "Sunweb", "GOGO" and "Eliza was here". As an online tour operator, we create holiday experiences and sell these online to our customers (1 million and growing). We are rapidly growing throughout Europe, with offices in 5 countries operating in 7 different markets.

You will be working in a full-stack agile team (front end, back end and application manager) where you will be the UX specialist and designer. You will be consulting your UX colleagues within our meetings and reporting to the UX lead.

Furthermore, you will be working with product owners and business leads. Our agile teams collaborate across different offices: Rotterdam and Girona. This means that you need to be a strong communicator and preferably have experience working with remote teams (you will be stationed in Girona).

Responsibilities* Rapidly iterate on designs based on test results, data, and customer feedback* Optimise your designs for different devices (desktop, tablet, smartphone)* Tackle a wide range of challenges, from creating variations for AB testing to collaborating on new concepts* Work across the design stack from low-fidelity to high-fidelity* Take ownership of your design by collaborating with our developers as they build the code* Present and debate key design decisions with UX and with business owners* Keep these two important players into account in everything you create: the user and the business
