- The Role

At Elkanodata we are looking for an experienced senior 2D Motion Designer to design, illustrate and animate engaging Motion Graphics and Infographics Videos. You will also collaborate with the creative director, UX/UI designers and developers to create outstanding visual experiences.

The Senior 2D Motion Designer is involved in the inspiration, ideation, illustration, storyboarding, design, and animation for the Motion projects we create. The ideal candidate possess a strong design aesthetic, is able to adapt to different visual styles, has strong animation skills and overall loves what they do.

You will Art Direct and manage another Motion designer and collaborate with the rest of the creative team.You will report directly to the Creative Director and liaise with the Project Managers to handle resource allocation and production schedules to deliver projects on time and according to client´s needs and quality standards.

- Responsibilities

You will tell stories, visualize topics and create interesting and eye-catching video content. You will get to work on a variety of projects such as explainer videos, motion infographics, gif´s, and motion storytelling.

You will conceptualize and develop Moodboards, Storyboards, Styleframes and key-frames.

Design and animate vector illustrations, character design and animation, frame to frame, graphs, typography and other graphic elements

You will Collaborate with art directors, UX/UI designers and developers in projects involving illustration, animation and code.

You will art direct other illustrator / animators from our freelance roster to ensure that the agency´s quality standards and client expectations are met.

- Requirements:

5+ years of professional motion graphics experienceBFA in design/animation or related disciplineA portfolio showcasing your work.Ability to grasp complex topics and visualize them with easy-to-understand animationsProficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and IllustratorExcellent storyboarding and conceptualization skills.Static Illustration.Moodboards and storyboard development.Character Design.Ability to follow design guidelines with an attention to details.Ability to juggle simultaneous projects.Experience collaborating with designers and developers.Strong organizational skillsExperience working and art directing in teams of 3 people or more.Be based in Barcelona, as the position is full-time in house at our offices in Barcelona

- Good to have

3D animation knowledge ( Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max etc..)Live Action project experience.Frame to Frame animation.You have trained and mentored people before.
