Operations Engineer

This role is to provide full support to operations in Spain infrastructure for all services hosted by the Country Business. This will closely work with actual managers of operations in order to not only execute, but also optimize, document and transfer management of these operations to other teams.During the transition will also be responsible for covering Operation technician in charge.

Position will be contracted in Madrid.

-Provide good skills in document procedures in English.-Produce recommendations to improve the automation level of IT Operations.-Provide good skills solving problems.-Provide support to IT Operations colleagues as required-Review and recommend product and process improvements within the IT infrastructure-Participation in IT Projects -The above list of main duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and you may be asked to carry out other Adhoc tasks as and when required

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

-Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Clients/Server)- Strong knowledge of Application services based on Apache, Tomcat.- Good knowledge of Linux and based services-Knowledge of network troubleshooting for Ethernet and Fibre Channel.-Knowledge of VMware vSphere administration.- Knowledge of HP Data Protector backup products.-Knowledge of Hardware administration: HP servers Blades management, HP MSA Storage systems.-Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions- Basic SQL Server, Oracle and MySql administration knowledge.- Knowledge of monitoring tools and procedures.- 3+ years of IT Operations management experience, preferably in an international environment-High standard of technical or professional education-Ability to prioritize and negotiate as well as delegate-Ability to multi-task to complete support and project tasks in the allotted time- High English level, written and spoken.
