Junior Product Designer

Hi guys, we are mendesaltaren. A Digital Product Boutique. We build delightful products focusing on business, iteration, agile design processes, documentation and an obsession with improving processes and sharing our knowledge with the community. We believe that process always brings glory and we love to work closely with our clients in order to build a strong relationship that goes far beyond classic agency process. What does this means? That we are always in close communication in order to bring results through function, aesthetics and narrative.

We are builders, we are architects, we are designers, we are writers, communicators, art passionates, front-end developers, crazy workers and we are absolutely tired of the UX - UI - Development separation. We believe that building a product is a collaborative process where people with different skills put their talent in motion to solve a problem that must be well defined by research.

We are looking for a designer with strong visual and high communication skills. We need somebody who's passionate about this job. Who's mind is settled on metrics but never use that as an excuse to not finding beauty. Who likes branding and have many references. Who knows about design systems and wants to dig deeper with us. Who loves digital environments and knows the impact that a well-selected copy can have on people comprehension, engagement or conversion. Who love typography and knows how to pick the one that fits. We don't need you to accomplish all of this, but to be strong on some and proactive to learn the others.

Don't be scared, we don't need an unicorn, just a person who loves this job and wants to improve with us. We don't care about seniority or juniority. We are opened to different profiles, but taking into consideration that we don't need somebody who is very experienced but someone who wants to learn but can still help us from day one.

*** What do we need:

- Strong in sketch app. - Comfortable in adobe suite. - Knowledge of digital environments. - Portfolio. - UX/UI skills. We do both. - Communication skills and empathy. - Hunger for good work. - We're constantly fine tuning our work methods and tools, it's important that you're adaptable and a -fast learner.- Good Level of English, spoken and written.

*** What we don't need but we would love:

- Branding projects on your portfolio.- Prototyping tools such as InVision, Marvel, proto.io...- Experience.- Animation. Principle, flinto or, why not? After effects.- Taste in photography.- Whatever you do that you find that can be interesting for us, just tell us.- If you know some code would be amazing.
