Digital Designer

Summary Psycle Interactive Spain is looking for a creative and talented digital designer for a 3-month contract. Based in our Barcelona offices, you will work closely with our teams in Spain and the UK, on a range of exciting projects for international clients and brands.

Overview You are expected to work on different projects, under the guidance of other team members to ensure design and quality requirements are met. In some projects you will be required to develop visual designs from provided UX/IA, at other times the projects will require getting you involved with the UX/IA, as well. You should deliver projects effectively both on time and to budget, being aware at all times of the commercial aspects of your job. You will work in projects for wide range of brands, including big names in the industry, who will require your best approach and your most innovative thinking. You should play a key part in the overall success and smooth delivery of projects, doing whatever it takes to get the job done! You are willing to work flexibly in a small team, always committed to deliver the best possible solution to every challenge you face.

Specific Skills required Excellent proficiency in industry-standard graphics and multimedia software packages (Adobe suite, for example). Ability to get into motion/3D packages (AE, Cinema 4D, etc.) will be highly valuable. Ability to capture, extract and understand business needs and translate into appropriate designs – including - prototyping, planning, storyboard and wireframes as requested. Strong sense of design and aesthetics, acute eye for detail, excellent typographic skills. Solid understanding of digital design, illustration, branding identity, web, mobile & responsive applications & user experience principles. Ability to work quickly and accurately. Conceptualise and design for web, mobile and video, establishing the best layouts to enhance user journeys. Ability to multitask. Ability to integrate within a team to work a project at both levels, idea generation and execution. Business proficiency in English - both spoken and written. Capable of remote liaison (for example over G+ Hangout, Skype or telephone) as much of the work will be done with international clients and colleagues. Additional Skills required You must be naturally creative and imaginative. You can work effectively to tight deadlines. You must be flexible and willing to adapt design ideas to meet technical criteria. You must be interested in interactive media, and the commercial trends in this area (special effects, photography, film, programming techniques and innovations, sound and animation). Illustration capabilities and hand drawing techniques will be advantageous. Experience or understanding of the newest technologies (VR, 3D mapping, bots, interactive screens, IoT) will be a good plus.
