Web Designer/Developer

The Web Designer/Developer position is responsible for the design, layout and coding of websites,specifically the technical and graphical aspects, to meet company objectives in the InsurTech sector.This position is within the IT department and reports to the Head of Innovation and Strategy.

Skills & Qualifications:· University degree with relevant work experience;· Effective written and oral communication in English (native speakers preferred) and Spanish;· Expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications, programming languages (HTML, CSS,JavaScript, JQuery, API) and Web Services (REST, SOAP);· Strong understanding of Web User Interface Design (UI), cross-browser compatibility, generalweb functions and standards;· Understanding of the insurance sector and business environment;· Creativity and imagination to design and develop leading web-based solutions;· Good interpersonal and communication skills to work with both internal and externalstakeholders;· Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products andorganizational units;· Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.

Main duties of this position include:· Produce wireframes to help support decision-making regarding the design and structure of web-basedsolutions;· Write programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software andgraphic packages to meet business requirements;· Test websites, identify and work to resolve any technical problems;· Upload websites onto a server and register with different search engines (where required);· Provide IT support to other departments (where required);· Keep up to date with advances in computer technology and the impact on the businessenvironment.
