Web Designer - Diseñador Web

A website coordinator is in charge of publishing content, maintaining continuity of themes, designing layout, streamlining navigation and increasing online presence to potential customers. They must have knowledge of search engine analytics to maximize traffic to websites. They must also have strong communication skills and an up-to-date awareness of marketing techniques.

• Drawing up detailed web specifications and presenting initial design ideas • Designing sample page layouts working in close coordination with graphic designers • Designing the website’s visual imagery and ensuring this is in line with the company branding • Testing the website to ensure it is fully functioning at all times • Monitoring and reporting on website traffic • Presenting ideas in order to maximize online presence to potential clients and increase traffic flow • Researching current design trends within the industry • Work with marketing managers on updating out latest SEO recommendations of date content • Perform regular backups of all company websites and perform effective version control • Manage courses and user accounts across multiple Moodle installations and versions • Liaise with academic and administrative colleagues to identify and release the latest course material to learners, and to assist in the management of assignments • Support colleagues, external partners and learners in the effective use of Moodle • Offer first line support, and liaise with colleagues to resolve any Moodle technical issues that arise. Become a first point of contact for learners and colleagues with Moodle issues

Essential Criteria -

• Excellent understanding of Wordpress, Joomla and Moodle • Complete understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL • Firm understanding of latest SEO and digital trends • Have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience • Effective interpersonal skills • Excellent written and verbal communication • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines • Good attention to detail with high level of accuracy • Must have a good level in English and Spanish
