Visual Resources Designer - Intern

LoveToKnow Media Spain is seeking a talented Image Specialist to work with our editorial teams to identify and place photographic and video content in our Barcelona office. This is a contract position where you will work from the office.You will work as part of a team responsible for identifying and placing images for editorial content on LoveToKnow.com, using images from approved and licensed sources. You will review content that has been tagged as needing images and select appropriate photographs to illustrate the article, slideshow, quiz or other online content. This role spans good attention to detail, a good eye for design and creativity. You will report directly to the Managing Editor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Sourcing high-quality images for articles, slideshows, quizzes and other content.Work with our existing stock photo library sources as well as procure images from private sources by finding necessary images and making a request for permission.Adding those images to content via LTK’s backend tool.Keeping an archive of all original images in the LoveToKnow image archive.Editing images to provide the best quality, which includes cropping to better highlight the subject/focus of the image.Creating simple graphics such as charts, graphs, and tables.Creating pdf files of any special simple graphics created.Creating editable, printable documents in pdf format.Working with the editorial team to ensure that images are added in a timely manner.

What You Will Need To Be Successful:Able to match great online content with compelling images that add value.Proficiency with a wide range of Adobe products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.Image optimization and color enhancement skills.Familiarity with a variety of image file formats and conversion tools.Good eye for layout design and image positioning.Ability to work independently and within deadlines.Strong knowledge of copyright laws and regulations for web content.Great communication skills: being fluent in English is essential.High attention to detail.Knowledge of LiveCycle and other image tools a plus.
