Visual Designer

Professional level knowledge gained through academic qualification and a solid level of experience in the design industry.

Roles at this level are professional individual contributors who will often be client facing and therefore be the point of contact for a particular initiative, they will be required to work autonomously and deal with a level of complexity not required at the lower levels.

The nature of the work require good communication and presentation skills and good awareness and understanding of technology advancements and trends in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Ability to present your ideas and formulate your design concepts.

• Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways You are able to drive consensus between peers.

• Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.

Desired skills and experience

• At least +2 years of experience as a Visual designer, UI designer or similar role.

• Pixel perfect attention to details

• Knowledge of current web design trends and techniques (Responsive Design, Grid Systems, etc.)

• Solid knowledge of responsive websites and mobile sites guidelines.

• Understanding of site functionality, architecture, intuitive user interfaces, and navigation

• Great communication skills and a talent for collaboration

• Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Photoshop, Sketch, Invision, Illustrator, etc.

• A portfolio review is required as part of the interviewing process.

• Ability to rapidly iterate through design layouts and prototype

• Experience across Desktop & Native Apps & RWD & Mobile First.

• Experience working in a collaborative team (UX designer, developers, etc.).
