UX Designer

As UX Designer you will ensure the design quality of all our products, projects and apps. You will be involved in all aspects of design; interaction, visual design, animating and prototyping. You will work with our clients, our developers, our internal designers and external design partners to create stunning but beautifully simple software for TV.

24i specializes in creating TV apps. We build software for all the major Smart TV brands (Samsung, LG, Philips, Sony, etc), game consoles (Xbox, PlayStation), set-top boxes and any other device that is connected to your TV, including tablets and smartphones.

As UX Designer you will ensure the design quality of all our products, projects and apps. You will be involved in all aspects of design; interaction, visual design, animating and prototyping. You will work with our clients, our developers, our internal designers and external design partners to create stunning but beautifully simple software for TV.

We expect you to work with our clients to crystalize their and our ideas into approved functional and graphical designs, which our developers will use as starting point for their work. Like design for mobile and tablet, design for TV is a very specific area, with its own opportunities, challenges and limitations. We expect you to grow this specific knowledge and experience as you work on various projects, while enriching it with your own experience from other areas of design.

In addition to working on our various day to day projects, we expect you to always be up to date on the latest developments in design for TV, including new platforms, new UI’s, new design patterns, to make sure we are always on the cutting edge of the evolution of TV.

Key responsibilities:- Working with our clients to turn their and our ideas into fully crystallized designs- Working with our developers to supply them with the design input they need to create stunning software- Working with our sales and marketing on our public identity, our branding and image, our marketing materials and our proposals.- Guiding and teaching our junior designers and design interns- Coordinating with our external design partners and client’s designers- Guarding the design quality of our apps during development and up to final product launch

Must haves for this job:- Expert user of common design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InDesign, and preferably Invision- Experience in both functional design (wireframes, prototypes) and graphical design of software, websites and/or apps- Experience in working with the limitations of real world projects, such as strict deadlines, strong client opinions and demands, technical limitations, while still pushing those limits as far as possible- A strong track record and portfolio in creating tangible deliverables, in the form of completed designs which were developed into launched software products- Eagerness to create top of the line TV experiences!- Good grasp of the Dutch and/or English language

Nice to haves:- Previous experience with designing for TV- Previous experience with designing for customers in the media landscape
