UI-UX Designer

Fon was founded in 2006 with the goal of blanketing the world with WiFi. Today the company is a global WiFi leader with more than 20 million crowdsourced hotspots. Fon is a technology provider for world leading telcos such as British Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Oi Brazil, SoftBank, Telstra and many more.

Fon has been innovative since its inception and has disrupted the telecommunications business with our Community WiFi product and with our WiFi for businesses solutions. The usage of WiFi keeps growing and the users demand more WiFi coverage, better service and excellent user experience. There are a lot of opportunities to innovate in such a demanding and flourishing business, bringing new technologies and business models around WiFi.

What are we looking for?We are looking for a creative candidate to work in Fon’s UX team. This position is based in Fon’s Madrid Headquarters. Please, include a link to your portfolio along with your application.

Key Responsibilities:- Strong UI design skills.- Create personas, user flows and journeys, scenarios, concept sketches, prototypes and wireframes.- Design solutions based on quantitative and qualitative data.- Defend concepts and solutions to stakeholders, based on data, best practices and proven experience.- Contribute to the team new tools and techniques.- Integrate the visual design into the prototypes collaboratively with the visual designer.- Gather and analyze data from analytics tools and other tools and sources to support design hypothesis.

Skills and Experience:- Strong understanding of HCI, usability and interaction principles within the constraints of mobile devices, as well as across desktop environments.- Experience in interface design for web, tablet and mobile design.- Expertise using design tools such as Sketch.- User interface design will be a plus.- Experience on Scrum-Agile teams.
