Technical Writer

With the launch of our Global Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro is changing how business is done in the Cloud. Our Global Engineering Team has an immediate need for an experienced Technical Writer to create internal documentation such as deployment guides and design documentation, as well as maintain and enhance our content management system.

You must have a strong grasp of technical concepts and network engineering Infrastructure terminology. As a master of documentation, creating concise and accurate technical documentation comes naturally to you. You should also have a flair for technical presentations. Experience and knowledge in cloud technologies is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:

3 - 5 years of experience authoring internal technical documentationStrong editing and analytical skillsKeen attention to detail – ability to edit, review, and revise both existing and new documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy and quality of documentationInfrastructure technical knowledge and terminology - Linux, Cisco, Microsoft, Citrix, virtualization, data centers, servers, etc.Proficiency with editing and presentation tools - Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, JIRA, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Office, etc.Ability to work with several teams, investigate, and gather information and requirements for producing thorough and technically accurate documentationKnowledge and understanding of Agile and traditional software development environmentsAbility to work independently and manage multiple documentation projectsExperience or ability to provide technical training demos and web recordingsWell documented project work and samples
