Job Description:You will be responsible for developing new functionality, solving issues, improving the stability and administration of the core codebase.
Primary duties will include:- Development, maintenance of the core front end framework- Consuming our back end APIs into reusable components and libraries- Help identify new initiatives and innovate our processes to provide value for the whole team- Work closely with the other developers and team- Supporting the existing environment, including administration, design, documentation and troubleshooting of the infrastructure and code.
Expertise required:- Medium/High level of English- 3+ years of production ready web development- Integration with major front-end JavaScript libraries preferably Vue but can also be React or Angular- Experience building multi-page front end sites- The ability to write code that serves as a definitive example for new engineers to the team- Understanding of general programming best practices.- Familiarity with performance and scalability issues and solutions.- Proficient understanding of Git and code versioning tools preferably git flow- Excellent communication skills, not afraid to ask a question
Pluses:- Experience in the node/npm/yarn eco-system for development and deployment- A master of build systems (webpack, grunt, gulp, etc.)- Experience with high volume in demand web sites- Degree in Computer Science preferable or equivalent experience- Excellent problem-solving skills.- Strong UX skills and an eye for design- Experience with containerized applications in Docker.- Experience utilising 3rd party APIs- Must be high energy, analytical, and detail oriented.- Practised in front-end QA testing and testing automation (cypress.io) and TDD- Experience with Agile methodologies
