PHP backend engineer / DevOps

ILovePDF is looking for a passionate engineer to work in one of the most used PDF services online, being on the top 3.000 most visited website on internet. With more than 3 million monthly unique users, over the last year our growth encourages us to keep improving our services to become the favorite PDF software worldwide.

With a quite small but passionate and creative team we achieved our first goals. Now we need more talented and skilled engineers to keep growing and expand our brand. As a backend engineer at iLovePDF you will be responsible of our backend development PHP based and work closely with the rest of the team in all our software products.

Our Stack:

PHP and Yii2 Framework Javascript jQuery MySQL Git Dedicated Linux (centos) and Windows servers Ansible

Responsibilities

Develop new features for iLovePDF Maintenance and automate our infrastructure Design and develop internal tools Analyze and monitor our application to spot problems Help designing our service architecture Work closely with our product team

Requirements

Experience with scaling distributed web applications Work independently and take responsibility and ownership of your work 3+ years of experience with software development 2+ years developing with Yii Framework or similar (Symfony, Laravel and related) Good programming skills. Git experience Linux knowledgement English knowledgement Full-time position Permanently based in Barcelona
