Photographer

EU Business School is looking to recruit an in-house photographer to join its young and dynamic Communications and Design Department. Located in Barcelona, this professional will provide photographic materials to be used across the five EU Business School campuses: Barcelona, Geneva, Montreux, Munich and online. His/her main purpose will be to produce fresh, exciting and impactful photographs on all materials.

Reporting directly to the Communications Director, this proactive professional should have experience across a wide range of photographic disciplines (portraits, events, lifestyle, … ) and a keen creative eye to produce excellent images for both on and offline mediums. The chosen candidate will have knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, web adaptations and preferably of video to provide the necessary general support to the department.

A good level of English and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this position given the multicultural and diverse environment in which the professional will work. Availability to travel and attend events are a must.

Immediate incorporation with a permanent contract

Functions include• Provide quality photographic materials for printed (brochures, flyers, posters, in-house magazine, among others) and online (web, social media) publications.• Work closely with top management and the design team to create a brand identity through image (elaboration of image guidelines, best practices) • Provide support to the design team through photograph and image selection• Attend events on and off EU Business School campuses providing technical support in set design, including lighting and materials, to ensure optimal brand images and visibility• Be proactive in championing new ideas• Balance workload and manage priorities in a challenging, high pressure environment to ensure deadlines are met• Maintain and update the photographic database (file naming, image drops)

Requirements• Bachelor’s Degree in photography or equivalent• 3+ year experience. Lifestyle and event photography will be highly valued• Creative talent with knowledge of the latest trends in photography and image for new and fresh visuals• A good level of English and excellent interpersonal skills for efficient communication with people from other cultures and professionals from all hierarchical levels. • Outstanding people skills• Hardworking

Technical requirements• Advanced user of Photoshop and user of InDesign and Illustrator• Knowledge of all photographic formats and files.• Knowledge of color management and photo/video equipment• Technical lighting knowledge for set design and event optimization• Knowledge of video will be valued but is not essential
