Motion Designer / Interface Designer (m/f)

Come and join XING’s User Experience team of over 50 dedicated copywriters, interaction designers, visual designers and user researchers. We work with product owners, product managers and developers to create products that deliver real value to our users. We explore new opportunities, technologies and services, and continuously test and optimise our products to meet our users' needs.As a motion and interface designer, you are part of a central design team that shapes XING’s future design direction by working with product teams to deliver cross-product initiatives.

A challenging task:• Express XING’s personality and style by bringing interactions to life through motion.• Help to carve out hierarchical relationships between elements and keep the user oriented by creating meaningful transitions. • Make a difference with precise motions to focus attention.• Establish motion principals for a coherent feel across all our products and platforms.• Compile a motion and transition style guide and enable the wider UX team to build motion designs.• Add motion to common interactions and standard patterns to spread it across all our platforms. • Work closely with the platform and design system teams to synchronise defined design standards. • Apply user-centric thinking to come up with solutions our users will love to use.

A convincing background:• You are able to communicate clearly and to foster a strong team bond.• You are a highly-skilled motion designer for digital products. • You think outside the box and come up with new concepts, motions and layouts.• You can communicate your design solutions eloquently and convincingly.• You are passionate about tech.• You are intrinsically motivated to both point out problems and suggest solutions. • You have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in interface/illustration/graphic/motion design or a related field – or you are a career changer with extensive relevant experience.• You have an online portfolio or samples of your work you can show to demonstrate your experience.• You are fluent in English.• Knowledge in web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) is a plus.• Illustration skills are also advantageous.
