Front-End Web Developer

Audiadis (audiadis.com) is a company that delivers digital signage for the retail industry in various european countries. We specialise in bringing audio and video content to stores. We have been doing that successfully for more than 15 years and we are now present in over 10 000 sales points.

We are in the process of creating new products and rebuilding existing ones from scratch (no legacy). Some of those are client side applications, with business logic in the back end. Those products are related to audio content management (audio player, playlist creators, music archives... mostly in the form of dashboards and web applications).

Job Description:

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated in combining the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.We are looking for someone with experience in building web front end applications, preferably in React. You will need to be part of our scrum team, write clean, tested and documented code.

Responsibilities:

- Develop new user-facing features - Build reusable code and libraries for future use - Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs - Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability - Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end - Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills And Qualifications:

- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 - Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS - Proficient understanding of React - Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates - Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus. - Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git - Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

Extra Skills:

- some level of french, the content will mostly be in french (we offer language courses) - we are especially interested if you have a proven experience as UI / UX application designer and you are able to take a graphic design and improve it with a layer of usability and interactions before implementation
