About the jobThe Web & Mobile team is composed of three people, whose work has lately given rise to our mobile app and a brand new front-end to the desktop version of Biings. You’ll join the team and work closely with them.
The team works in Barcelona (Aticco MED), everyone has a dedicated desk, so will you. All team members speak either French, English or both.
Essentially, the W&M team is responsible for implementing, documenting and maintaining the Web and the Mobile version of Biings. The team works mostly on the front-end parts and uses our back-end API to retrieve and persist data.
We believe the back-end and front-end of any new feature should always be built simultaneously. The job is to join the W&M team and work on the back-end in close collaboration with the front-end programmers.
About youWe’re looking for someone with a good back-end PHP experience (1-2 years or more). Front-end programming experience, especially with Vue.js, is a plus but not a requirement. Here are some aspects of the job you should be comfortable with:
Back-end PHP applicationsLaravel or similar frameworksObject-oriented programmingEntity-relationship databases, and SQL queriesCode versioning and git branchingBeing involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of features, from concept to deployment.
You won’t know all the frameworks and methods we use on day one, and we don’t expect you to. Solid fundamentals in software development and teamwork will be the most helpful.
This job is in-house in Barcelona. While you can work remotely on occasions, you should be comfortable working the majority of time together with the team, in the coworking space.
While we all speak English, our company is mostly composed of french-speaking people. English or French should be one of the strongest languages you speak. We very happily welcome of course people with any language background.

What we offerBiings is an Equal Opportunity Employer and pays according to industry standards. The salary for this position is between €30,000 and €35,000 depending on your experience. We assess seniority during the interviewing process.
