Backend Developer

WOOM is a data driven tech startup with a big and single dream: help people have kids. Today between 20% - to 25% of couples in Europe and 17% in LATAM experience a challenge in fertility. We currently operate in Mexico, Spain and Colombia, with 300,000 users, and this year we plan to expand to other EU and LATAM markets. We are a team of nine talented professionals, covering Technology, Product Design, Marketing and Community. All of us are coming from eBay, Google or the startup world.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Software Engineer with Python and backend knowledge, who will help us to build a solid, scalable platform that will be the core of our product. We need someone detail-oriented, proactive, motivated and who really understands the importance of maintaining perfectly optimized, well tested backend services. Someone that masters common but universal best practices in software engineering such as continuous integration, continuous delivery and testing.

We are a multi-task team where each team player wears many hats, so if you're also experienced with other programming languages, DevOps, Frontend and Mobile apps (Android, iOS) you'll get extra points.

Required skills

Experience in backend services for commercial software engineering products. We work with Python 3.x (Django framework) and PostgreSQL & MongoDB as databases. We also look for someone able to work flexibly and independently in an agile, fast changing environment. Team builder, hard worker and fast learner.

Valuable skills

Do you have some experience with Amazon Web Services, Docker, DevOps, backend architectures, scalability, fault tolerance, monitoring, other programming languages, security/data protection, machine learning/big data, etc. Let us know and get extra points!
