2D Animator and Illustrator

We’re reinventing early childhood education through an online language learning platform for kids. We adopt the Netflix model to help children learn the English language via a content platform and online live classes with more than 4 millions users. We believe in breaking down language barriers and helping provide equal opportunities to all kids around the world.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Freelance 2D-Animator & Illustrator to assist our Art Team. The Animator side of the position would involve rigging, animating, and/or working with directors and art assets provided. The Illustration side would include style explorations in visual development and creating character, background, and other asset illustrations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through animation with a good knowledge of the animation industry.

This is a remote position.

About the Role

* Animate 2D characters and assets. * Design 2D assets. * Work both independently & collaboratively to create beautiful, engaging animation. * Create style frames & storyboards.

About you

* 4+ years' experience as a 2D Animator * Proven Design/Drawing experience. * An understanding of animation principles such as staging, timing, anticipation, follow through, exaggeration, arcs, etc * Demonstrable graphic design skills with a good portfolio in animation and drawing. * Highly skilled in Flash/Animate CC & Illustrator * Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to kids educational products. * Strong portfolio of 2D character animation and illustration samples. * A background in Design and/or Illustration is a plus.
